Y como siempre en estos casos ya empieza a aparecer la gente de habla hispana diciendo bulos en los foros de grupo
o sin más mandando MIs a unos y a otros con la pregunta de "oye, ¿qué sabes de lo de XStreet?".
Y claro, a la cuarta vez que tienes que contestar por MI a lo que basta con leer en el blog ("pero es que no sé inglés"... buf, en fin),
terminas haciendo esto: escribir un mensaje en este foro y a la siguiente vez que me pregunten les pego la URL y a correr
(sabiendo que habrá quien me diga que prefiere que se lo diga yo a tener que leer cosas, pero a ésos ya sé que contestarles).
A ver, según
esta entrada del blog de SL y según
este documento oficial del wiki, lo que LL planea (es un plan, aun no ha entrado en vigor, es un "road map", una "hoja de ruta") es (copio el inglés, abajo resumo en español):
Y EN RESUMEN (muy en resumen), eso dice que en XStreetSL:
- Los freebies se considerarán ítems promocionales (publicitarios). Y ya no será gratis el listarlos. Por cada freebie listado se cobrará una tasa POR LISTARLO (se venda o no) de 99 L$ al mes. Aparte de eso, los freebies irán a una categoría especial de freebies, y nos e podrán listar en otras categorías.
- Todo lo que tenga un precio pagará una comisión de 10 L$ al mes por listarlo (o sea, se venda o no). Y ADEMÁS pagará una comisión por cada venta (esto de pagar una comisión por venta YA EXISTÍA, lo que cambia son las cantidades para los bnjetos entre 1 y 49 L$): comisión del 5% para objetos que se vendan por 50 o más L$ / comisión de entre 1 a 3 L$ (depende) para objetos que se vendan entre 2 y 49 L$.
- Y todo esto se quiere llevar a efecto en una fecha aun no determinada entre el 18 de noviembre y el 18 de febrero (plazos más concretos pueden verse en el original inglés). La fecha concreta de avisará al menos con 2 semanas de antelación.
Estos son los DATOS. Y luego ya vendrán las OPINIONES de cada quien. Pero las opiniones no pueden cambiar los datos, no es bueno liar al personal.
Por cierto, de opiniones sobre el asunto hay mucho en muchos sitios, incluyendo (pero no sólo) dos gigantescos temas en el blog de SL: uno
aquí (el tema original de debate que abrió Colossus Linden tras el anuncio) y otro
aquí (otro tema que tuvo que abrir Colossus Linden ante lo muchísimo que se alargó el primero; éste segundo también es tan largo que, de hecho, Colossus dijo que ya no contestaría nada en él y que ya se informaría cuando se cerrara la decisión).

* A L$3 commission will raise the commission on all listings under L$50. This was a range suggested by residents, but it turns out that this is the price range where there is a very high transaction volume and low commission income which combine to cover the costs of those transactions.
* We may adjust this minimum commission as we see its effects on the marketplace. L$3 does not cover the full cost of a transaction, but the goal here is first to manage freebie growth first.
* Expected Delivery: 30 - 60 days
Monthly Listing Fee of L$10 for all items L$1 or greater:
* All non-freebie listings will now be charged L$10 per month to remain listed in the Xstreet SL Marketplace
* Currently, less than 20% of Xstreet SL listings make at least one sale per month. This displays just how much clutter of unsold items exists on Xstreet SL.
* Doing this will provide an incentive for merchants to remove listings which are not selling, while keeping this fee low enough to have a minimal effect on listings which are selling and are desired by shoppers.
* By reducing the overall number of listings on Xstreet SL, the shopping experience will drastically improve which will please our shoppers and be a boon to the business of all of our merchants.
* Expected Delivery: 60 - 90 days
Separate freebies into their own category:
* There is already a freebie section on Xstreet SL. This section will become the place to browse for new freebies.
* We will remove free listings from the browsable categories and keyword search results on Xstreet SL.
* Expected Delivery: 60 - 90 days
Timeline:
* We will provide at least 2 weeks notice before releasing any of these changes.
* We expect to enact these controls within the time window 30 - 90 days following this roadmap announcement.

Is the L$10 fee in addition to the 5% commission?
The L$10 monthly listing fee on non-freebie listings will be in addition to the commission of 5%. The only change to the commission structure that will happen as part of this roadmap is the introduction of the L$3 minimum commission. This will mean the following changes to the current structure:
* L$1-L$9 listings - Commission will go from L$0 to L$3
* L$10-L$29 listings - Commission will go from L$1 to L$3
* L$30-L$49 listings - Commission will go from L$2 to L$3
* L$50+ listings - Commission will remain the same (5%)
The commission is on every sale of an item from a listing. If you don't sell any items, you don't pay any commission.
The L$10 listing fee will be paid once per month on each listing priced at L$1 and above regardless of whether it sells or how many time it sells that month.
Let me clarify that neither of these changes have been implemented yet and are not expected to be for another 30-90 days.
How are Freebies changing?
Currently for freebies:
* Commission is 5% which equates to 0 or 0% since they are free
* Listing Fee is L$0
Roadmap plans:
* Freebie Listing Fee of L$99.
* There will not be an additional L$10 listing fee on top of this as that is for non-freebie items.
* There is still no commission earned on sales since they are still free.
* They are being treated as a marketing opportunity, so this price could fluctuate depending on demand for this advertisement opportunity.
